The Worship Committee exists to pray, think, discern together and plan for the needs of the Sunday morning worship gathering. This committee is made up of 4-6 volunteer members who meet together monthly, or as needed.

Committee members should be those who are drawn to worship, enjoy a rich spiritual life, and have a heart to nurture and encourage a worshipping congregation. Membership is a commitment of a minimum of 6 months, with encouragement to remain on the committee as long as feasible. Members stepping down from the committee are expected to rotate so that the committee never consists of more than one or two new (inexperienced) members.

The central responsibility of this committee is essentially to plan the worship calendar. This consists of scheduling Ekklesia and Song Service Sundays, Communion Sundays, and worship seasons such as Lent and Advent. The committee schedules worship leaders every Sunday, and facilitates the necessary communication among participants. In the absence of a pastor, the committee also arranges for Sunday speakers, including any guest speakers.

This committee commits to pray regularly for the Spirit of the congregation, for the speakers and worship leaders, and to be alert to the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
